Overview

Presbyterian is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist in the Pulmonary Department. The RRTprovides routine and advanced respiratory care responsibilities which include infant pediatric and adult patient care.

Type of Opportunity: Full Time (0.6 FTE/24 hours per week)
Work Schedule: 12 Hour Nights

This position is eligible for the Northern New Mexico differential of $4.00 per hour. (This differential may be adjusted or discontinued based on business requirements.)

Qualifications

  • BLS Required at Time of Hire.
  • Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy required
  • Current New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License Security Technician plus BLS ACLS PALS and NRP are required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs advanced airway care including intubation extubation and tracheotomy care for infants pediatric and adult patients.
  • Proficient in using High Flow therapy BPAP/CPAP ventilators and Bubble CPAP for all age groups.

  • Conducts electrocardiograms on infants pediatric and adult patients in various hospital areas including the Emergency Department L&D nursery ICU MedSurg and PMG.

  • Implements cardiopulmonary modalities and protocols for infant pediatric and adult patients.

  • May perform pulmonary function testing Holter monitor placement and cardiac stress testing in the Pulmonary department.

  • Completes departmental-specific duties.
