Job Summary
About the role
The position as an Underwriter Airline entails evaluating airline risk profiles fleet composition loss history amongst many other tasks draft/interpret policy wordings and endorsements negotiate with brokers and clients. monitoring portfolio performance accumulations and compliance with underwriting guidelines and sanctions.
You are responsible to deliver an quality standard of service to clients and broking partners maintaining strong working relationships and upholding the companys reputation for professionalism.
Furthermore you ensure underwriting profitable growth of both new and renewal Airline business adhering pricing models defined underwriting appetite authority limits and strategic objectives.
Take responsibility for the day-to-day underwriting duties within the Airline team and collaborate closely with other aviation lines of business in Europe and internationally.
It is important that you have the flexibility to travel regularly to London and overseas when required.
Work experience
Degree and/or relevant insurance experience plus professional qualifications. Good knowledge of Swedish and English language both verbally and written.
You have a few years of experience working in the insurance industry preferably with aviation insurance experience.
You can also have your background as an Underwriter Hull or Energy or as an Insurance Manager in the aviation industry. If you have experience as an engineer in aviation that is also a suitable background.
Personal qualities
You have excellent communication skills both verbal and written. It is important that you are a team player with a high degree of business sense and a service mindset.
To succeed in this role you need to be skilled at creating building and developing long-term relationships.
