The Logistics Tech Specialist supports the day-to-day operations of the Distribution Center by assisting the Lead Hand troubleshooting SAP and system issues maintaining accuracy and ensuring smooth end-of-shift processes. This role also contributes to team development by mentoring employees and promoting a positive productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support
- Support the Lead Hand with daily workflow and operational needs.
- Troubleshoot SAP issues and resolve basic system errors.
- Proactively identify and address issues to maintain workflow and accuracy.
- Perform end-of-shift procedures including securing the warehouse and shutting down equipment.
- Use digital scanners and follow FIFO processes accurately.
- Load labels print selections and verify data for accuracy.
- Assist with pallet wrapping inventory checks and general warehouse tasks.
Team Development & Collaboration
- Mentor and train team members to improve skills accuracy and performance.
- Promote teamwork communication and a positive work environment.
- Engage in special projects or assignments as directed.
Safety & Quality
- Ensure all work meets quality and accuracy standards.
- Maintain satisfactory or above picking accuracy and productivity.
- Follow all REHAU safety rules procedures and warehouse guidelines.
- Uphold housekeeping and organizational standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at test-level status in the DC.
- Must have fewer than 3 points on attendance/disciplinary record.
- Picking accuracy and productivity must be above satisfactory.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and manually wrap pallets.
- Must hold a valid drivers license and be eligible to operate a forklift .
- Strong computer skills and experience with digital scanners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment.
- Experience training or mentoring team members.
- Experience with SAP or similar inventory/warehouse systems.
Work Environment
- Warehouse setting with exposure to powered industrial equipment.
Requires standing walking lifting bending and repetitive movements throughout shift
