Role Description
As the Junior Low-Voltage Systems Estimator you will have the unique opportunity to work directly with our vendors business development team and design teams to produce accurate bid packages for all our low-voltage systems including CCTV access control Audiovisual Wireless BMS and Structured Cabling systems. This critical role in the low-voltage systems division is based in South Florida and is positioned for exponential growth. It is a hybrid role. We will consider other parts of Florida.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow within the organization and work closely with key players - internal and external. It is a fast-paced role requiring attention to detail a can-do attitude self-management and the ability to deliver client and team-member deliverables quickly. The candidate should be comfortable communicating swiftly and regularly with all parties via email text phone calls and in person. He or she should also be comfortable working with Excel and numbers for budgeting.
Position Responsibilities
Manage the estimating process from beginning to end including timelines deadlines and estimating packages.
Communicate with vendors and clients to build relationships define the project scope address any deficiencies and negotiate pricing.
Research quotes for material and labor from our suppliers and subcontractors.
Continuously follow up on all bid projects and accurately forecast future awards.
Partner with Coranets construction project management team to properly transfer awarded projects.
Stay up-to-date with current technology trends in low-voltage systems.
Were Looking For:
At least 2 years of relevant experience in low voltage integration projects some technical low voltage estimating or practical experience.
Knowledge of residential and commercial low voltage technologies (WiFi CCTV access controls and structured cabling systems) including products from industry leaders with industry and/or manufacturer training and certifications as a plus.
Knowledge of Lighting Controls and/or Audio Visual is a plus
Demonstrated ability to interpret construction documents and bid proposals.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Outlook Word Teams) and estimating software.
Proficiency in completing takeoffs in Bluebeam.
Ability to maintain excellent relationships and provide a high level of customer service.
Proven track record of estimating numerous large-scale low-voltage / IT projects and leading cross-functional teams including field workers.
Strong understanding of current technology trends best practices and regulatory requirements.
Ability to understand blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong understanding of how to complete takeoffs.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing customer priorities and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
