What does a successful DFS Application Support Specialist do at Fiserv
We ensure the availability reliability and operational excellence of Digital Financial Services including BillPay eBilling CheckFree and our Azurebased products by triaging and resolving customerimpacting incidents maintaining endtoend application and cloud health and partnering with engineering and product teams to prevent recurrence.

What youll do:

• Provide handson administration and support across Unix/Linux and Windows environmentspatches upgrades configuration security queries release deployments DR planning and system tuning to keep production stable.
• Build and maintain monitoring alerting and automation (Splunk SiteScope Dynatrace custom scripts) define KPIs and notify teams for rapid detection and remediation.
• Own daytoday production integrity and 24x7 incident responsetriage outages resolve issues perform rootcause analysis and recommend performance capacity and scaling improvements to meet SLAs.
• Collaborate with Engineering Product and Client Services to validate operational readiness of changes integrate customer needs and implement longterm fixes.
• Analyze code and alerts document runbooks and findings and work independently or in teams to drive continuous improvement in reliability and performance.

What you will need to have:

• 15 years in application development support and production support with full lifecycle delivery in technologydriven environments (preferably financial services/banking); proven experience with multitier architectures and troubleshooting production apps (Apache WebSphere WebLogic JBoss).
• Strong UNIX/Linux/Windows administration Java support shell scripting and Oracle operations; experience /Windows/IIS SOAP & REST APIs networking/private endpoints and writing Splunk queries to build dashboards and alerts.
• Handson Azure experience (Function Apps App Service Cosmos DB Azure DevOps) a bias for automation and the ability to work independently and as part of crossfunctional teams to deploy and scale resilient solutions.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or equivalent.

What would be nice to have:

• Linux system administration manage and troubleshoot Linux systems and services and develop Bash scripts to automate operational tasks and incident remediation.
• Networking expertise apply routing switching and network troubleshooting skills to resolve connectivity performance and private endpoint issues.
• Agile collaboration & tooling operate in Agile teams using JIRA Confluence Wiki and ServiceNow to track work document runbooks and manage incidents.

Salary Range

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
