FUNCTION:
Support research staff and faculty by performing a variety of routine research
administrative and data-related duties that contribute to the execution of an activeresearch project.

SUPERVISORY ACCOUNTABILITY:
This position involves no supervisory responsibility.

NATURE AND SCOPE:
Internal contacts include faculty staff graduate students and undergraduate contacts may include participants community partners or staff of the grantingagency.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Assist the principal investigator and study team with a variety of research proceduresand project activities.
Collect data samples or survey responses; assist with routine data cleaning and entryinto research databases.
Maintain research records update spreadsheets and assist with generating summarytables and preliminary reports.
Support preparation of project materials including presentations meeting documentshandouts and recruitment materials.
Assist in drafting or editing abstracts posters and manuscripts submitted for
conferences or publication.
Help organize equipment supplies or participant materials; support set-up for studyvisits focus groups or data-collection sessions.
Input information into software systems including spreadsheets databases andpresentation or publishing software.
Carry out clerical tasks such as filing scanning labeling printing organizing documentsand managing inventories of study supplies.
Attend project meetings take notes and support follow-up tasks as assigned.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

CORE COMPETENCIES:
Basic knowledge of research methods relevant to the assigned project area.
Ability to assist in writing short summaries abstracts or scientific descriptions.
Ability to perform basic data analysis and interpret preliminary results.
Ability to prepare progress updates and assist in delivering presentations.
Strong competence in written and oral English to communicate clearly and
professionally.
Ability to establish and maintain effective and harmonious working relationships withfaculty staff students and research participants.
Strong organizational skills reliability and attention to detail.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Completed coursework or demonstrated interest in a scientific public health socialscience or education-related discipline aligned with the research project.
Prior research administrative or community service experience preferred but notrequired. Proficiency with standard computer applications including Microsoft Office or GoogleSuite. Ability to commit to scheduled hours and follow research procedures accurately
