The Medical Group Management Association (MGMA is looking for an Analyst Data and Reporting to join our Denver/hybrid team.


The ideal candidate will have expertise in data visualization and a strong background in Marketing and Sales analytics and reporting with a passion for transforming data into actionable insights that drive business performance. You will work closely with stakeholders across Marketing Sales and Product to develop dashboards reports and analytical solutions that support decision-making and optimize business outcomes.


Essential Functions

  • Design develop and maintain internal dashboards and reports for various business functions with a primary focus on Marketing and Sales. Create technical and business documentation along with report development.
  • Translate business requirements into data models dashboards and KPIs that align with strategic goals.
  • Prototype and wireframe potential visualization options while refining requirements with business partners.
  • Analyze large datasets from multiple sources (CRM systems digital marketing platforms transactional systems) to generate actionable insights.
  • Assist in Data Governance and Management activities such as performing data profiling to inform data quality rules assessing existing documentation and designing systems to remediate gaps or short-comings.
  • Write test cases and perform test procedures to ensure requirements are met and high quality data is being delivered to our business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to measure campaign performance lead conversion customer acquisition and sales pipeline health.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends patterns and opportunities.
  • Ensure data accuracy consistency and quality across all reports and dashboards.
  • Monitor reporting usage and implement fixes as needed.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis support as needed.

Requirements

Knowledge skills and abilities

  • Ability to consistently promote support work and act in a manner in support of MGMAs mission vision and values.
  • Strong experience building reports and visualizations Microsoft PowerBI experience a plus.
  • Strong SQL experience to perform ad-hoc data analysis and data profiling.
  • Ability to refine user requirements and guide business users to next-level requirements moving the needle from Descriptive analytics to Diagnostic and Prescriptive analytics.
  • Knowledge of typical Sales and Marketing reporting needs such as Full Funnel Analytics Sales Pipeline Health Web Analytics User Activity and Behavior etc.
  • Understanding of relational databases.
  • Experience in data management and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management and Marketing Automation platforms such as Dynamics 365 and Marketo.
  • Additional Microsoft stack applications (PowerApps Azure SQL Server) knowledge a plus.
  • Strong experience with using agile life-cycle methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing as well as able to communicate quantitative information in a clear and informative manner.
  • Attention to detail and possess the ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong operational background excellent customer support and project management skills and proven ability to contribute to a team.
  • Ability to work with a dynamic staff and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to think analytically and evaluate user needs to create the highest quality solutions and resources.
  • Commitment to top quality completion of tasks in a team and independent environment.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.

Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field required.

Experience

  • Two (2) or more years of experience developing business intelligence reports using SSRS and PowerBI a plus.
  • Two (2) or more years of data analysis experience using SQL.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in marketing and sales analytics role a plus.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.

Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications

  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have a valid drivers license.

This is a largely sedentary role so employee must be able to remain in a sedentary position while focusing for extended periods of time throughout the workday. Position also requires occasional movement inside the office to access file cabinets printers etc. This role may require setting up moving and configuring IT equipment including computers servers networking devices and peripherals.
While performing the duties of this job employee is regularly required to successfully navigate scenarios requiring the following operational abilities:

  • Ability to operate PC/keyboard and other office productivity equipment
  • Ability to position self to traverse/navigate around typical office setting
  • Able to lift carry and move IT equipment and hardware up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Able to reach bend kneel and work in various positions when installing or troubleshooting equipment
  • Able to pull/push lift open/close grasp/manipulate and transport materials
  • Ability to use hand and power tools for equipment installation and cable management
