Job Summary
Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: December 2026
Work set up: Hybrid SC Clearance Required
Our client in the global professional services industry is looking for a DevOps Engineer to support the New WMU project for the UK Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) a government department responsible for welfare and pension policy in the United Kingdom. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with the team while contributing to high-impact cloud security and DevOps initiatives.
What you will do:
- Define the cloud security framework and architecture to ensure alignment with business requirements and performance goals.
- Document the implementation of cloud security controls and support the transition to cloud security-managed operations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert collaborating with and guiding the team to ensure effective delivery.
- Lead team decision-making processes and engage with multiple teams to contribute to key technical and strategic outcomes.
- Provide solutions to complex problems within the immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Develop innovative security solutions that align with the overall cloud strategy.
- Conduct regular assessments of cloud security controls to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Lead training sessions to enhance team knowledge of cloud security best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle.
- Stay updated on cloud security trends and technologies to continuously improve the security framework.
Qualifications :
- Expert proficiency in DevOps.
- Advanced proficiency in Git (recommended).
- Advanced proficiency in Cloud Infrastructure Security Cloud Security Architecture GitLab CI/CD and Managed Cloud Security Services (suggested).
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple teams and lead decision-making processes.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Experience delivering cloud security solutions in complex environments.
