- The Golf Car Technician is responsible for the maintenance repair and troubleshooting of a fleet of electric and gas-powered golf cars. This role involves performing routine inspections diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues and executing repairs to ensure all vehicles are operating safely and efficiently.
- The technician will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all maintenance work and parts inventory.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all golf cars including oil changes brake inspections and battery checks.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in both gas and electric vehicles.
- Repair or replace damaged components such as engines motors transmissions batteries and electrical systems.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately assess vehicle conditions and perform repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs maintenance schedules and parts used.
- Install accessories and custom components as requested.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and best practices.
- Keep the maintenance shop and adjacent areas clean organized and safe.
- Communicate with management and other staff about vehicle repair needs and status.
- Stay updated on new technologies and industry advancements in golf car maintenance.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in small engine repair or automotive mechanics is a plus.
- Proven experience as a mechanic with specific experience in golf cars or similar recreational vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of small engines and both AC and DC electrical systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift heavy parts and work in various positions.
