Were looking for an experienced Pre-Contracts Manager to lead the front end of our project pipeline and position our business strongly in a competitive market. Youll drive tendering activity for projects up to $20 million set clear frameworks for delivery and ensure every submission is commercially sharp strategically aligned and delivered to a high standard.

In this role youll scope opportunities shape bid strategies quantify resources negotiate robust contracts and support a smooth handover to delivery teams. Your work lays the foundation for safe efficient and profitable project outcomes.

In addition to the above you will:

• Leading end to end tenders including bid strategy document preparation pricing coordination and submission.

• Positioning the business for success by achieving Preferred Tenderer status and securing contract awards.

• Interpreting client requirements tender documentation and evaluation criteria to ensure competitive and compliant bids.

• Scoping project opportunities with clear deliverables briefs and resource plans..

• Leading commercial negotiations with clients and suppliers to secure robust compliant contracts.

• Managing the transition to delivery including compiling handover documentation and supporting project start-up.

Were looking for someone with:

• A civil engineering degree or relevant qualification

• Proven experience managing tenders and pre-contracts for medium-scale civil projects (up to $20m)

• Strong working knowledge of contract law and tender processes including NZS3910 or similar

• High competency in MS Office and tender management systems

• Strong negotiation analytical and organisational capability with a sharp eye for detail

• Confidence interpreting complex technical and contractual information

• Experience in forward work planning continuity mapping and forecasting
