Job Summary

Liberty Healthcare operates a 10-bed inpatient psychiatric stabilization unit within the Maguire Correctional Facility a county jail located in Redwood City CA. This unit exclusively serves adult inmates who are struggling with acute mental illness.

As a Mental Health Workers with Liberty Healthcare you will fulfill a vital role and be responsible for:

Establishing and maintaining positive therapeutic relationships with psychiatric patients

Leading therapeutic recreation activities with individuals and groups

Monitoring patient activity and behavior

Promoting a positive therapeutic milieu

Safely addressing deescalating and managing aggressive patient behaviors through appropriate interventions and techniques

Actively participating in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings

Collaborating with Psychiatrists Psychologists LCSWs Registered Nurses and ancillary mental health workers

Documenting services and patients progress in medical records

Mental Health Workers receive training and valuable resume-building mental health experience. As a Mental Health Worker with Liberty Healthcare youll have an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals who are struggling with mental illness.

Liberty is currently hiring for a full-time noc shift position. You can expect to be paid $30.00 per hour.

Shift is:

Overnight (NOC) shift from 10:45 pm to 7:15 am
