POSITION:

Long Term Substitute- English Language Arts (Grades 11 & 12)

WORK SITE:

Lordstown High School

DURATION:

November 2025- March 2026

QUALIFICATIONS:

Valid state teaching license or substitute teaching license (required).
Strong background in English Language Arts literature and writing instruction.
Effective communication organization and classroom management skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with high school students.

DUTIES:

Deliver instruction aligned to district curriculum and state standards.
Teach core ELA content including literature analysis college-level writing research skills and vocabulary development.
Facilitate engaging lessons for whole-group small-group and individual learners.
Maintain accurate attendance assignments and grading records.
Provide timely constructive feedback on student work.
Communicate professionally with students families and colleagues.
Support a positive safe and productive classroom environment.
Collaborate with ELA department staff as needed.
