DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY
The Recreation Attendant serves as a key resource for all recreation activities and facilities within the property. This role ensures guests enjoy a safe fun and relaxing experience by providing exceptional service promoting activities and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary point of contact for all recreation activities and facilities including pools fitness center entertainment/game room and childrens activity center.
- Provide accurate information to guests regarding available recreation options and schedules.
- Encourage recruit register and schedule guests for activities and events.
- Promote a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere while enforcing facility rules for guest safety and welfare.
- Monitor recreational areas and respond promptly to emergencies in accordance with local operating procedures.
- Deliver first aid assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
- Assist with hosting private functions and group activities within recreation facilities.
- Operate point-of-sale systems for rentals retail sales and activity fees; process payments accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of recreational facilities equipment and supplies.
- Report accidents injuries and unsafe conditions to management; complete required safety training and certifications.
- Uphold company policies standards of appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Provide exceptional guest service by anticipating needs assisting individuals with disabilities and expressing genuine appreciation.
- Communicate professionally in person and via telephone; follow proper etiquette.
- Foster positive working relationships and support team goals.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
Physical & Operational Requirements- Ability to stand sit or walk for extended periods during shifts.
- Lift carry push or pull objects up to 25 lbs independently and heavier items with assistance.
- Navigate narrow confined or elevated spaces; move over uneven or slippery surfaces.
- Bend twist reach overhead and below knees; perform tasks requiring fine motor skills.
- Comfortable using computers and point-of-sale systems for work-related tasks.
- Visual ability to read small print and inspect equipment for defects.
Qualifications- Previous experience in recreation hospitality or guest services preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations.
- Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR (certification preferred).
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: No related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
License or Certification: CPR Certification
First Aid Certification
