Position Overview
An Ambulatory Care department is seeking an experienced RN to support outpatient surgical services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ambulatory and surgical care specifically within burn colorectal thoracic general surgery and trauma specialties. This role requires excellent assessment skills patient education abilities and comfort working in a fast-paced clinical environment. All candidates must be available to start on a Friday.
Key Responsibilities
Provide nursing care and patient education within an ambulatory surgical setting
Support pre- and post-operative patients across multiple surgical specialties
Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
Assist with patient flow clinical procedures and follow-up care needs
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility standards
Ensure safe patient-centered care in alignment with ambulatory best practices
Requirements
Experience:
Background in ambulatory and surgical care
Experience in burn colorectal thoracic general surgery and trauma strongly preferred
Licensure & Certifications:
Active Registered Nurse license (state or compact as applicable)
BLS certification (AHA) typically required
Additional Details:
