Job Description
This position provides administrative support for the Extension Agents and the District Director and requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues and clients. The role requires cooperative and pleasant interaction with co-workers and the public. Duties include program and event planning clerical work funds handling coordinating and leading projects and other duties as assigned. The position may also include special projects for the District Director such as drafting correspondence copying and printing hiring packets and scheduling interviews. This position is budgeted up to 24 hours per week not to exceed 1500 hours annually.
Required Qualifications
-High School Diploma required
-Ability to work independently and relate well with county residents and coworkers
-Strong oral and written communication skills
-Ability to adhere to deadlines and work flexible hours
-Experience developing positive interactions with the public
-Competency (or willingness to train) in Microsoft Office social media management website management and similar tools
-Proficiency in data entry
Preferred Qualifications
-Associates degree
-Professional experience with Virginia Cooperative Extension
