Year 3 Teacher to join a dynamic KS2 phase with strong support and development opportunities
The successful Year 3 Teacher will be involved in day-to-day classroom teaching targeted small-group work and collaboration with the SENDCo to ensure all pupils access the curriculum. The post begins January 2026 and induction will be provided in the weeks before January 2026 so the Year 3 Teacher can lead learning confidently from the start of term.
Responsibilities
- Plan sequenced Year 3 lessons that promote mastery and application of key concepts.
- Use varied assessment strategies to inform planning and support pupil progress.
- Lead small-group interventions and scaffold learning for different needs.
- Work closely with colleagues to share best practice and maintain consistency across KS2.
- Engage with parents to report progress and agree next steps.
Person specification
- Qualified teacher with recent KS2 experience and strong Year 3 practice.
- Clear subject knowledge and experience of designing effective curriculum sequences.
- Calm organised classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management skills.
- Enthusiastic about working in Northamptonshire and contributing to the school community.
- Available to take up post in January 2026.
