Key responsibilities
SAP BODS Development:
Design develop and maintain ETL jobs to extract transform and load data from various sources into SAP HANA.
Performance and Optimization:
Optimize BODS dataflows and HANA data models for performance and scalability including performance tuning memory management and using features like delta loads and caching.
Data Modeling:
Create and maintain complex data models in SAP HANA including Attribute Analytic and Calculation Views.
Data Quality and Cleansing:
Implement data cleansing validation and reconciliation processes to ensure data integrity and resolve data quality issues.
Technical Documentation:
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for ETL processes data models and solutions.
Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with business users and functional teams to understand requirements provide support during testing and resolve issues.
Troubleshooting:
Monitor troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to BODS jobs and HANA performance.
Project Lifecycle:
Participate in the full project lifecycle from requirements analysis to design development testing and post-implementation support.
Required skills and experience
SAP BODS: 5 years of strong hands-on experience in SAP BODS development including designing complex jobs and workflows.
SAP HANA: 6 years of experience in SAP HANA data modeling SQL scripting stored procedures and performance tuning.
HANA Development Tools:
Experience with SAP HANA Studio Web IDE and HANA XS Classic/Advanced.
Integration:
Experience with various integration scenarios including with SAP and non-SAP data sources as well as cloud platforms.
Data Migration:
Proven experience with end-to-end data migration projects.
ETL Concepts:
A strong understanding of ETL concepts data warehousing best practices and data migration strategies.
Other Technologies:
Familiarity with data provisioning tools (SDI SDA SLT) and integration methods like IDocs BAPIs and RFCs.
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills
