Job Description:

Role Overview

The QC Checker ensures that all rebar shop drawings and bar lists are accurate code-compliant constructible and aligned with project specifications. This role is a key quality gateway before submission to clients.

Key Responsibilities

Review and check rebar shop drawings and bar lists prepared by detailers.
Verify dimensions spacing laps hooks cover bar marks and sheet consistency.
Ensure compliance with project codes: ACI CRSI BS IS or client-specific standards.
Cross-check coordination of beams slabs columns walls footings PT and special elements.
Identify detailing errors constructability issues and missing information.
Provide clear remarks corrections and guidance to detailers.
Track revisions and ensure updated drawings are accurate before final submission.
Work closely with team leads and project managers to maintain high standards of quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma / B.E. in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Minimum 3 10 years experience in rebar detailing and checking.
Strong expertise in reinforcement detailing rules and standards.
Command over AutoCAD and detailing workflows.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualities

Strong leadership and mentoring ability.
High accountability and consistency.
Ability to foresee site-level issues and prevent errors proactively.
