*A COLA of up to 3.5% is scheduled for July 2026.
The City of Marina California is seeking a solution-oriented and customer-focused Chief Building Official (CBO) to lead all operations of the Building Division within the Community Development Department. This hands-on leadership role oversees plan review permitting inspections and code enforcement to ensure compliance with state and local regulations. The CBO manages three staff members and a division budget exceeding one million dollars. They play a pivotal role in supporting Marinas continued growth overseeing major residential commercial and mixed-use projects over the next decade while upholding the Citys commitment to safety quality and customer service excellence.
