Heres What You Need:
Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN strongly preferred
Current RN or compact license recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing
BLS (prior to independent patient care)
ACLS within 90 days required
CPI within 90 days required
Certified Hemodialysis Nurse certification preferred
Minimum 2 years as a clinical nurse with leadership experience (charge nurse committee chair preceptor)
Dialysis experience required; inpatient preferred
TPE and Automated and Manual Peritoneal Dialysis experience preferred
Familiarity with AAMI/RD52/ANSI/AAMI 23500 dialysis water and equipment standards preferred
Heres What You Will Do:
As a Dialysis Nurse Supervisor you will lead daily dialysis operations ensuring exceptional care for chronically ill renal patients. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities to maintain compliance quality standards and operational efficiency. Supports retention strategies and objectives and assists with recruiting and hiring of potential staff.
Supervise daily dialysis operations.
Support staff providing leadership to RNs CCHTs
Collaborate with nephrologists intensivists nursing units and case management
Lead quality assurance initiatives (QAPI) competency validation and staff education.
Responsible for water testing machine testing and record keeping of all test in compliance with AAMI water standards CMS standards and Joint Commission Standards.
Collaboration with Bio Medical Services and Infection Prevention to maintain water and equipment to safety standards.
Monitor water treatment system logs and support troubleshooting of RO/water system alarms
Unit Scheduling to include call and holiday schedule.
Assisting the manager/director with human resource management to include evaluations coaching mentoring recruitment retention education and orientation.
Works with manager/director to control costs and manage department budget productivity and supplies.
Effectively evaluate the services provided daily to ensure the patients needs are being addressed to ensure a high-quality experience.
