Position Overview:
This is a critical leadership role for a hands-on process-driven and high-integrity CFO to take ownership of the finance department and support the CEO in executing on aggressive growth goals. This role is not about sitting on topits about understanding how everything works restructuring broken workflows leading from the front and bringing accountability across the finance team. You must be someone who can both command respect and produce results especially in a culture that moves fast and expects precision.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial LeadershipOverhaul existing finance workflows replacing band-aid solutions with scalable infrastructure.
Lead structure and mentor the current finance team including making staffing decisions and shifting responsibilities as needed.
Own all core finance operations: forecasting reporting budgeting audits shared costs and vendor/investor updates.
Establish and enforce clear expectations and deliverables across the finance team.
Drive the month-end close process and reporting deadlines.
Interview hire and onboard new finance hires (bookkeepers accountants analysts).
Work cross-functionally with operations tech and executive leadership to ensure that financial data drives decision-making.
Help evaluate the financials of acquired companies and assist in integrationbut keep the focus on internal operational clarity.
Oversee the financial tech stackidentify and implement the right accounting and data systems to support scale.
Ensure that tech solutions integrate across departments and reflect reality on the ground.
Oversee company-wide budgets cost controls and financial models.
Analyze shared costs and department-level spend to create clarity and accountability.
Partner with the CEO and division heads to create clean actionable projections.
Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience as a Controller VP Finance or CFO in a dynamic fast-growing business.
Strong operational instincts understands how numbers connect to day-to-day processes.
Not afraid to get into the details; capable of interviewing staff understanding line items and asking why until things are clear.
Has managed and restructured finance teams in the past not just inherited them.
Capable of influencing senior leadership especially when tough decisions need to be made.
Experience with M&A integrations or multi-entity accounting is a plus.
Tech-forward mindset able to guide selection and implementation of scalable software and systems.
Comfortable navigating dynamic priorities and ambiguous situations.
