As a System Administrator youll be at the heart of our IT operations keeping our infrastructure secure reliable and efficient. Your role will involve hands-on work mostly with Linux-based systems implementing robust security practices and managing our network to support the services orchestrating services (Docker Compose Kubernetes Slurm) scripting (Python Bash) and centralized management of Linux systems (Ansible Puppet Xcat Warewulf).
Key Responsibilities
Primary tasks
- Maintain and administer Linux-based systems and software ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Configure and maintain network infrastructure including data center management.
- Support developers with Linux-based clusters and HPC/GPU systems.
Secondary tasks
- Manage and optimize data center operations.
- Automate standardize and document IT processes.
- Configure maintain and enhance IT infrastructure and critical company systems.
- Improve security infrastructure including VPNs and centralized access systems.
- Maintain remote access security.
- Implement and configure new hardware and software and manage hardware requirements for employees.
Requirements
Technical skills
- 23 years of experience in system administration or in a similar position.
- Strong Linux system administration skills (Ubuntu Debian).
- Experience with configuration monitoring and troubleshooting Linux systems.
- Familiarity with automation tools or scripting (Python Bash Ansible Puppet Xcat Warewulf).
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Soft skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communicator comfortable in a start-up environment.
- Attention to detail and precision in system configuration and maintenance.
- Having a growth mindset.
