Job Summary
Alfred Health

On 1 January 2026 Alfred Health will come together with Kooweerup Regional Health Service Peninsula Health Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service to create Bayside Health a newly merged health service with more than 22000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians. The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce providing new training education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026 all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

About our team
Alfred Infant Child and Youth Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service is friendly to infants children young people and their families/carers.
We provide accessible mental health services inclusive of family friends and support networks.
We are a specialist multi-disciplinary and intensive care mental health service incorporating the lived and living experience of family peer specialists and youth peer workers.
Our service is divided into two streams 0-11 and 12-26 years and includes specialist services in the areas of perinatal care neurodevelopmental presentations eating disorders and outreach support.

What youll be doing
- This is a 12-month transition position aimed to support speech pathologists to gain confidence and competency as a mental health clinician
- Based in a multi-disciplinary team you will deliver discipline specific assessment and consultation and develop mental health case management skills
About you
- You are an experienced speech pathologist seeking to develop your knowledge and skills in the mental health sector
