Block Scheduling: Not Available
Orientation: 16 Hours (Non-Billable)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Intermediate Care (IMC/IICU) to provide high-acuity patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal clinician will have recent critical care experience strong clinical judgment and the ability to manage patients requiring frequent monitoring and timely interventions.
Experience Requirements
Minimum 2 years of RN experience
At least 1 completed travel assignment required
Previous IICU or ICU experience with patient ratios of 1:3 or higher acuity
First-time travelers accepted with 3 years of specialty experience and critical care experience
Shift & Scheduling Requirements
Nights: 19:0007:30
Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
Call-Off Policy: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
RTO / Schedule Requests: Must be included at submission; only approved if accepted at time of booking

The Intermediate Care Unit cares for adult trauma medical surgical and neurology patients requiring monitoring or interventions every 12 hours.

Required Skills & Clinical Competencies
RNs must demonstrate competency in the following:
Cardiac monitoring & dysrhythmia interpretation
Telemetry monitoring
Emergency response
Vasoactive and cardiac drip titration
Medication management
Ventilator management
Experience in ICU IICU or Progressive Care (PCU/Stepdown/DOU/IMC)
Floating Expectations
Travel staff may be required to float to other units or nearby campuses within their documented competency areas.
