The Communications Office is the first point of contact for external media it develops content for and manages key publications for the University and is directly responsible for the Universitys flagship social media platforms. This team carries out a diverse range of work within a highly collegial work environment.
The role Te mahi
The Adviser Social Media role is an exciting opportunity for the right person to create meaningful and engaging content across several digital platforms. Reporting to the Manager Internal Communications and Channels you will:
Create high-quality tailored content for the Universitys main social media channels including images text videos and graphics.
Monitor analyse and report on the performance of the Universitys social media channels to refine strategies and drive growth.
Co-ordinate online presence activity and communities in line with Communication Services strategies.
Enthusiasm creativity and an excellent delivery orientation is critical to success in this role.

We are looking for a dynamic and social-media savvy professional who is passionate about connecting with our audiences through compelling engaging informative and authentic content.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Proven experience of social media culture and its many platforms
A background in communications or marketing
Experience in creating content (i.e. videography photography journalism etc.)
An audience-focused mindset
Excellent time-management skills and the ability to work autonomously and to deadlines
Passion for your work and a desire to make a difference are a must.

This is a full-time (37.5 hours) permanent position based in Ōtepoti Dunedin.
The appointment range for this role is Level 6 $75631 to $80503 (Top of Range $88750).
You must have the right to live and work in New Zealand to apply for this role.
