This posting will be used to fill 1 permanent part-time positions working 60 bi-weekly. It will establish a 12-month eligibility list which may be used to fill similar positions.
This job is based in the thriving and diverse Community of Faro in the beautiful Yukon.
Must live in Communities as housing is not provided
About this community
Originally established to service a lead-zinc mine the town of Faro is now a much smaller population and is developing as a tourism arts and retirement community.
Your role
Reporting to the Primary Health Care Nurse in Charge this position is responsible for custodial/ housekeeping caretaker services and minor maintenance duties for the community health center. This position supports the provision of high- quality programs and services as well performing other duties as required for the efficient and effective function of the health center.

Essential qualifications

- Recent experience performing duties related to housekeeping custodial or janitorial services
- Experience in Customer or Client focused service
- Experience with infection control practices

Job requirements
This job requires you to perform and/or be exposed to the following:
Performs light and heavy cleaning duties which includes bending reaching and heavy lifting and operating motorized equipment. On occasion this position is required to move furniture such as tables couches and desks for the purposes of cleaning under or behind perform light duty maintenance such as changing light bulbs and clearing health center walkways of ice and snow. This position is exposed to harsh cleaning chemicals while carrying out cleaning duties as well as exposure to unpleasant odours contaminants potential infectious materials and exposure to adverse weather conditions.
