PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator at the Faculty of Law supports the Dean by helping develop and execute a comprehensive strategic vision including an extensive recruitment plan that reflects the Facultys mission vision and values. This includes building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and supporting the recruitment function within the Faculty of Law. The recruitment strategy and function may use various media and social media methods print and digital publications email recruitment campaigns overseeing the end-to-end recruitment cycle all to support and enhance faculty promotion alumni/donor recognition student and recruitment initiatives.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will have:
Bachelors degree in a related field as determined by the Faculty of Law. Preference will be given to JD or LLB degrees or demonstrated experience with Law school recruitment.
3 years professional experience in strategic development media relations public relations alumni affairs recruitment and communications specifically relating to not-for-profit and education.
Extensive experience in working with legal or justice seeking organizations as defined by the Faculty of Law
Demonstrated understanding of the nuances surrounding Law School recruitment in line with Windsor Laws mission vision and values.
Experience in building an anti-racism and anti-oppression environment ensuring that all decisions are made through such a lens.
Demonstrated understanding of the mandate of justice seeking community engaged and people centered work and how to include this in the recruitment cycle
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing communication/marketing plans including content creation for various media options (print web email social media).
Experience in recruitment activities using a variety of communication and marketing vehicles aimed at various internal and external audiences of diverse populations.
Experience in web design and maintenance.
Extensive experience using databases including but not limited to; IT ticketing systems applications (E.g. Drupal Outlook Adobe WordPress etc.) as well as the proven ability to learn new systems and applications as they become available.
Excellent oral and written communication skills including exceptional writing skills.
Strong presentation skills.
Expert knowledge of internet communication and related computer applications and programs (E.g. Microsoft Word PowerPoint Access Outlook One Drive and Excel)
Well-developed interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Ability to cope with a demanding workload while adhering to deadlines.
Travel and participation in off-campus activities will be required.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends.
