The ADC is seeking an Assistant Director of Business Services (Director of Financial Services) to oversee all financial operations and key administrative support functions that drive operational excellence.

ABOUT THIS ROLE:
Reporting directly to the Superintendent and serving as a key member of the Executive Staff this position plays a critical role in strategic decision-making fiscal management and organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and oversight for all agency financial management functions.
- Develop administer and monitor the agencys annual operating and capital budgets.
- Supervise mentor and support a team of finance and business service professionals.
- Direct fiscal policy accounting operations and resource allocation.
- Oversee contract administration procurement and grant management.
- Ensure compliance with all federal state and local financial regulations.
- Prepare and present financial reports audits and forecasts to agency leadership.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement across business services.
- May oversee additional operational departments as needed.
- Perform related executive duties and special projects as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong financial planning and analytical skills.
- Expertise in public-sector budgeting and fiscal oversight.
- Ability to develop and implement policy and process improvements.
- Skilled in leadership staff supervision and performance management.
- Excellent communication collaboration and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in financial systems reporting tools and data analysis software.
IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:
- Significant experience in financial management budgeting or accounting preferably within a public-sector or government environment.
- Demonstrated experience supervising and developing professional staff.
- Strong understanding of budget development contract administration and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONTRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or G.E.D. and 8 years of related experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration Public Administration or related field.
- Professional certification such as CPA CFA or CGFM.
- Experience overseeing multiple administrative or operational support functions.
- Demonstrated experience in local or state governmental operations.
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:
Typical hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday (37.5 hours per week).
HIRING RANGE:
$115469.74 to $156223.77 annually

- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Must pass a criminal history background investigation to include fingerprint and driving record check.
- Must pass a polygraph examination.
- Must pass a pre-employment medical assessment.
- Incumbents may be subjected to occasional travel.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Positions in this class typically require reaching standing walking talking hearing seeing and repetitive motions. May also require exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
