BEEF MODERNIZATION TEAM LEAD
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Beef Modernization Sorter or comparable harvest floor position
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to train mentor and motivate team members
- Harvest floor knife experience and ability to sharpen and maintain a sharp knife
- In-depth knowledge of beef anatomy physiology and pathological disease processes
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented organized and disciplined
- Ability to lift push and pull product repetitively

Job Description:
The Beef Modernization Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and supporting the daily operations of the Beef Modernization Sorters. This position ensures that all team members perform duties in alignment with company standards for Food Safety Quality and Productivity.
The Team Lead will monitor workflow provide on-the-job training and verify that all sanitary dressing procedures and trimming standards are followed accurately. Strong observational skills and precise knife-handling ability are essential to ensure correct decisions related to pathology presentation or potential dressing deficiencies.
The Team Lead will act as the primary liaison between Sorters Supervisors and USDA-FSIS Consumer Safety Inspectors ensuring clear communication and efficient coordination between departments. The ideal candidate will promote a culture of continuous improvement accountability and safety.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Benefits: Vision Medical and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment.
- Paid Time Off: Sick leave vacation and 6 company-observed holidays.
- 401(k): Eligible after the 1st day of employment including company match beginning after the first year of service and following the company vesting schedule.
- Base salary: $27.00/hour (DOE)
- Bonus: Eligible to participate in the Companys annual bonus plan; the amount varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program.
