Job Description
The Lead Sterile Processing Technician reports to the Manager Sterile Processing. Under general supervision of the department manager shift supervisor or designee the SPD Lead Technician performs instrument production case assembly sterile processing decontamination of surgical instruments in compliance with medical center policies and procedures state local and federal requirements. This position participates in quality improvement initiatives functions as a preceptor to new hires and assumes role of supervisor in supervisors absence. This position may require supervisory roles of multiple locations.
Additional Job Description
High School Diploma or GED and certification through CRCST - HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) or CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution). At least twelve (12) months experience in sterile processing required for this role.
