Teacher Social Studies
Purpose of Role
To deliver engaging and effective social studies lessons aligned with the Cambridge and CBSE Curriculum for Grades 6 to 8 fostering students inquiry-based learning critical thinking and global awareness while ensuring alignment with Cambridge curriculum standards.

Teacher Social Studies - Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons.
- Prepare lesson plans teaching aids and assessments as per curriculum.
- Use interactive teaching methods including maps charts and experiential learning.
- Support students in developing analytical interpretive and geographical skills.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
- Support and mentor students with learning gaps or special needs.
- Collaborate with teachers coordinators and parents for integrated learning.
- Participate in training workshops and staff meetings for professional growth.
- Maintain student records discipline and adherence to school policies.
- Prepare students for internal assessments Checkpoint exams (if applicable) and school-based evaluations.
Skills Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelors/masters degree in social sciences (History Political Science Geography Sociology or related fields) . (preferred)
- Strong conceptual understanding.
- Good communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to design engaging lesson plans and creative teaching aids.
- Patience empathy and ability to handle diverse learners.
- Collaborative mindset to work with peers coordinators and parents.
- Proficiency in computer skills (MS Office digital tools for teaching).
- Prior teaching experience of 2 to 4 yrs at school level preferred.
