Job Summary

Title:

Piping Engineer

KBRs Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for a Piping Engineer to support the Abadi LNG project one of the largest projects in Asia. This project will provide front-end design (FEED) for onshore liquefied natural gas facilities & will have a peak production capacity targets of 9.5 million tons per annum of LNG and 150 million standard cubic feet per day of pipeline gas. The Abadi LNG project has been designated a project of national strategic importance by the Indonesian government.

The Piping Engineer will be coordinating with piping designers process engineers and procurement teams to validate material quantities and specifications.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain piping Material Take-Offs (MTOs) based on isometric drawings P&IDs and 3D models
Ensure MTOs are aligned with project standards codes (e.g. ASME API) and client requirements
Support change management by updating MTOs to reflect design revisions and field modifications
Assist in developing bill of materials (BOMs) and support procurement with technical clarifications
Interface with construction teams to reconcile material usage and support field material tracking
Participate in design reviews model walkthroughs and quantity verification workshops
Contribute to progress reporting cost forecasting and quantity trend analysis

Required Qualifications:

Degree in Mechanical Metallurgical or related Engineering
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with average experience ranging from 10 years including piping engineering and MTO development within Onshore oil & gas or LNG projects
Proficiency in engineering tools such as SmartPlant AVEVA E3D S3D/AutoCAD and Excel
Strong understanding of piping components specifications and fabrication practices
Effective communication and coordination across multidisciplinary teams
Experience with LNG facilities or large-scale Onshore EPC projects
Familiarity with modular construction and digital engineering platforms
Exposure to international codes and standards for piping systems
