Join Our Team as a SEN Services Leader!

We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking leader to join our team as Student Development Manager. If you are passionate about empowering students with special educational needs (SEN) and ready to make a meaningful impact on campus we invite you to apply for this rewarding role.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Head of the Counselling and Development Centre you will take charge of a dedicated team spearheading initiatives that support and uplift SEN students. As a key leader you will shape the direction of our services drive positive changes and promote an inclusive campus culture.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and Inspire:Lead a small team in delivering individualised support to SEN students including needs assessment campus life integration and career development;
• Strategic Collaboration:Build effective partnerships with internal departments and external organisations to enhance case management and service delivery;
• Programme Development:Design plan and execute impactful training sessions and campus-wide programmes that foster diversity and inclusiveness;
• Administrative Excellence:Oversee funding schemes including strategic planning budget management and comprehensive reporting;
• Committee Leadership:Prepare proposals and reports and provide secretarial support for committee work contributing to decision-making and policy development; and
• Service Enhancement:Proactively identify service gaps and propose innovative solutions to expand and improve our offerings.

Requirements:

• A recognised masters degree (preferably in psychology counselling social work or education) with at least seven years of relevant experience in tertiary institutions or public organisations;
• Proven leadership and team management abilities with a track record of motivating others to achieve results;
• Excellent communication skills in English Chinese and Putonghua;
• Strong analytical organisational and interpersonal skills;
• A genuine passion for supporting SEN students and promoting equal opportunities;
• Detail-oriented proactive and able to work independently on new initiatives; and
• Familiarity with equal opportunities ordinances is an advantage.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
