Responsibilities:
Lead/Supervise team of field engineers/technicians in the field and carry out assembly repair and maintenance pre-commissioning work on-site at our customers sites or in our workshops/test facilities.
Lead mechanical work and electrical testing work done on site.
Participate in the work of updating technical documentation related to the site activities. Plan for the projects and prepare the works (tools & equipment spare parts documentation).
Report on the progress of work. (Daily reporting Smartsheet management progress charts and documentation)
Carry out quality monitoring and traceability of works (NCRs reports Quality plans etc). Perform all the administrative tasks related to the position and to the various missions entrusted to the role (Close out reporting lessons learnt etc).
Ensure the security and strengthen the EHS culture of all stakeholders under their responsibility in accordance with the GE lifesaving principles and GE EHS policies. Maintain the Valve Delivery Project Plan. Participate in the review of detailed Valve Project Smartsheet Plan derived from the main Project Delivery P6 plan.
Participate in the Valve Risk Register to escalate high risks to project team.
Participate in the review of planned hours Cost-To-Completion hours vs Budgeted hours.
Accountability on the On-Time-Delivery and say-do ratio KPIs for the project. Lead Non-Conformities in relation to valve site activities with action plan in place and accountability to close them.
Participate in Valve Engineering Gate Reviews and Engineering Design Reviews and when required at the customer sites and with GE partners.
Tasks include: Pipe fitting mechanical build busbar jointing laying and checking pressure tests flow tests knowledge of cooling plant performing electrical checks and tests etc.
Qualifications / Requirements:
The candidate requires mechanical engineering expertise at graduate level ( ideally master degree) or equivalent experience with a good level of the technical understanding of general electrical engineering.
Significant experience in mechanical/electrical (maintenance field) and team supervision preferably experienced in working in Live HV environments.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Good knowledge of safety and the environment. Willing and able to frequently travel globally (including off shore / sea platforms) for extended periods of time often at short notice.
