Job Summary:

The Department of Education of West Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time instructor/testing coordinator position. This position will coordinate all teacher candidates certification examinations including scheduling communicating and approving all certification exams for the WTAMU Educator Preparation Program (EPP). The individual holding this position will analyze anddisseminatecertification testing data to candidates and faculty. The position will help manage the EPP candidate records and official TEA documentation. Duties will also include teaching two undergraduate courses as needed during each semester throughout the academic should beservice orientedand collaborative with excellent verbal and written communication and technology skills. This position will be a full-time11-plus one-month instructor position and is not eligible for remote work.

Work Performed:

  • Coordinate all areas of teacher certification examinations including scheduling communicating and reporting the EPPs testing data.
  • Analyze anddisseminatetesting datatocandidates and faculty.
  • Coordinate andfacilitateremediation efforts for candidates who may requireadditionalsupport inpreparingfor the representative and/or official certification examinations including keeping records of all testing and remediation plans.
  • Assist certification officers bymaintainingand creating data spreadsheets and helping to disaggregate testing date for required reporting.
  • Teach two undergraduate courses as needed each semester throughout the academic year courses in face-to-face and/or web-based delivery systems.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctorate in Education
  • Classroom teaching experience
  • Understanding of Texas educator certification requirements
  • Technology/Data management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and teacher candidates.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching experience in a public school university or community college
  • Hold a Texas educator certification
  • Ability to coordinate all areas of certification examinations including organizing scheduling and communicating with stakeholders about certification exams.
  • Ability to assist students in preparing for certification testing including connecting students with study materials and developing intervention plans.
  • Ability to manage analyze interpret and visualize testing data
