The Fleet Coordinator helps oversee and manage the companys growing national fleet. This role assists the Fleet Manager with implementing strategies that support operational goals by utilizing fleet management software systems and adhering to company and regulatory policies. Responsibilities include proactive management of vehicle maintenance schedules vehicle repairs employee vehicle issues and emergencies data gathering and vehicle violation remediation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assists with preventative maintenance schedules and fleet management practices using advanced fleet management software to enhance reliability and reduce downtime.
- Supports cost optimization and efficiency efforts in fleet operations by tracking fuel consumption monitoring maintenance expenditures and evaluating fleet performance metrics.
- Supports compliance with all current DOT regulations and industry standards establishing a culture of safety and accountability.
- Assists with all vehicles having valid registration inspection (if required) insurance card and accident packet. Maintains accuracy in expense tracking vehicle documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Helps develop and maintain outside vendor and service provider relationships.
- Works effectively with cross-functional teams including Operations Sales and external vendors.
- Is the point of contact for vehicle tow needs and accidents.
- Responsible for the payment and/or communication of toll parking and speeding violations.
- Assists in the successful accomplishment of objectives and key results of the department i.e. on-time vehicle maintenance idling etc.
Qualifications :
Requirements / Preferences
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education preferred
- One to three years of administrative work experience required
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel skills

- High degree of accuracy attention to detail follow-up and follow-through file maintenance and ability to function effectively in meeting daily deadlines
- Exceptional customer service written and verbal communication skills
