Job Summary
Were seeking a Microbiology Operations Supervisor to lead second-shift operations in a GMP-regulated environment at our Rensselaer NY site. This is a full-time leadership role with relocation support provided.
What Youll Do
- Oversee environmental monitoring (EM) activities including sampling of cleanrooms compressed gases and water systems.
- Conduct microbial identification and acceptance testing of microbiological culture media.
- Maintain microbiology productivity databases and generate trend reports.
- Lead investigations into microbiological deviations and prepare detailed reports.
- Ensure calibration and maintenance of lab equipment and compliance with GMP standards.
- Supervise and mentor microbiology analysts and group leaders.
- Manage onboarding training and scheduling for second-shift operations.
- Apply Lean principles to optimize workflows and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Microbiology Life Sciences or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of microbiology lab experience including EM in a GMP setting.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience in technical or lab environments.
- Strong understanding of microbiological testing EM protocols and compliance standards.
- Proven ability to coach and develop staff while managing operations.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship.
- Willingness to relocate to Rensselaer relocation support is available.
Additional Information :
- Full-time onsite position based on second-shift schedule (MonFri 2:30pm11:00pm) with occasional weekends and overtime as needed.
