Job Summary
Job Summary
The Operator is responsible for aiding in the operation of the process equipment machinery evaluation of any process problems and performing product quality testing.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

- Maintain steady flow of material throughout the facility.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Unload bulk and toted ingredients.
- Load finished products on bulk van and flatbed trailers.
- Perform periodic preventative maintenance on some equipment in process.
- Monitor machinery and product flow; bring all problems to attention of manager.
- Participate in facility housekeeping program.
- Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing manufacturing environment.
- One year of manufacturing industrial or agricultural experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Good mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting; skilled in general mechanics and safe operation of equipment.
- Previous experience with feed mill/pellet mill.
- Basic computer skills.
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to walk stand sit climb balance stoop kneel crawl and crouch.
- Frequently must push pull move or lift up to 50 lbs.
- Regularly required reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally work at heights.
Work Environment
Job functions will be carried out in a facility which requires tolerance for wet and/or slippery floors and high heat and/or cold temperatures.
