The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for a Behavioral Health Specialist position in its Human Services Departments Family Success Administration Division.
General Description
Assists Case Manager/Counselors and/or clinical staff in a County social services facility or office.
Works under close to general supervision according to set procedures but determines how or when to complete tasks.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Requires two (2) year experience working in a social service agency social service or community program or community support group related to the area of assignment including six (6) months of clerical or closely related experience.
Special Certifications and Licenses
Must possess a valid FL Class E Drivers License at time of appointment and must be able to obtain and maintain authorization to drive on County business.

Assists case workers or other professional or clinical staff with program participant-related activities.
Assists in preparing case activity notes monthly reports or other case management documentation.
Maintains case files; may maintain and update contract files and/or assist in data collection and completion of surveys fact sheets and questionnaires; may participate in case staffing.
Conducts intake interviews and assessments to determine eligibility for applicant and eligibility for various benefits.
Enters all collected data into computer system and processes paperwork.
Answers and returns phone calls to clients assist agencies and other outer agencies.
Performs general office duties such as filing and scanning.
Reviews each clients file for accuracy processes payment packet and delivers to supervisor for final signature.
Assists in processing all required government web site information to ensure client meets all HUD (Housing and Urban Development) requirements.
