Job Summary
Position Summary
The Department is seeking dedicated and reliable 911 Telecommunicators to join the Communications Center on an 11-month contract basis. The primary purpose of this position is to operate the E9-1-1 Communications Center effectively and efficiently 24 hours a day 365 days a year ensuring timely law enforcement and emergency response. This role requires the ability to collect process prioritize and disseminate critical information from and to multiple resources and agencies under stressful high-pressure conditions
Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Certification (Required Before Start): Must possess a Basic Telecommunicator Certification from a state criminal justice institution. Certification (Required Before Start): Must possess Division of Criminal Information ( DCIN ) Operator Certification
Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
3 years of 911 telemcommunications experience
Work Schedule
Full-time (40 hours/week standard). Must cover 24/7/365 operations including holidays and overnight shifts. Work cycle is 84 hours every two weeks.
