About the team
The Collaboration Tools team builds and enhances Zillow Groups internal communication and productivity platforms enabling seamless collaboration and supporting business agility across the company. As a Client Engineer youll help drive innovation and ensure our teams stay connected and productive.About the role
As a Client Engineer you will use your technical expertise to support maintain and advance our suite of collaboration tools. Your work will directly impact productivity and employee experience across Zillow empowering teams to work more efficiently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for collaboration platforms (e.g. Google Workspace Microsoft 365 Slack Zoom Atlassian etc.).
Develop and implement automation scripts and workflows to enhance system reliability and user efficiency.
Manage configure and optimize client-side components of collaboration applications.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
Proactively monitor system performance identifying opportunities for improvement.
Conduct regular assessments to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
Mentor junior team members fostering professional growth and technical excellence.
Stay abreast of industry trends proactively recommending and implementing innovations to enhance our collaboration capabilities.
In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience performance and location.
Who you are
Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5 years of hands-on experience supporting and engineering collaboration and productivity tools.
Strong knowledge of Google Workspace Slack Zoom Atlassian or similar enterprise collaboration platforms.
Expertise in scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell Python) and automation frameworks.
Strong understanding of AI tools (generative agentive etc.) and how they can enable users to get the best out of our platforms.
Exceptional analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a user-centric mindset.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
