Job Summary
Program Manager I - Maintenance of Certification Program
The Program Manager I will provide the following duties:
Operational (day-to-day) management of the Maintenance of Certification Program:
- Develop/oversee project management ensuring all projects meet the standards of and are in compliance with the American Board of Medical Specialties Standards for Multi-Specialty Portfolio Programs and completed as approved by the SCH MOC Program Committee
- Develop and implement systems to track metrics that quantify program performance against established goals and provide status reports and data to MOC Program Director and MOC Program Committee make recommendations for performance improvements.
- Plan design implement and analyze program content and ensure strategic alignment. Develop and manage organization and tracking of MOC Projects and MOC Program participation including timelines process maps project management plans and scope of work; develop and track project costs as appropriate
Development and implementation of program communications:
- Manage program level communications via hospital mechanisms to physicians public stakeholders and internal staff; ensure that hospital communications are consistent with strategic plan and hospital goals
- Develop and distribute regular and timely communications to update organization on MOC Program coordinate communication efforts with Marketing/Communications team. This includes developing and distributing the MOC annual report.
- Participate in development of MOC curriculum and project curriculum in tandem with MOC Director and MOC project leaders.
Develop and maintain relationships with industry representatives:
- Develop and manage relationships with American Board of Medical Specialties certifying boards and peer MOC programs.
- Participate in industry committees and represent the SCH MOC Program at industry events.
- Cultivate relationships with funders working in coordination with MOC Director and SCH Foundation staff to obtain industry and/or foundation support for MOC program.
- Assist interested peer partners/sites in implementing Childrens-developed tools. Interface with relevant regulatory bodies (legal IRB)
Develop and maintain standardized systems and materials to enhance MOC program effectiveness:
- Evaluate improvement needs and implement as needed
- Facilitate development of systems and processes to support MOC participation and MOC projects.
- Create presentations and reports utilizing a variety of data sources and computer programs; ensure documents are timely accurate and meet intended purpose
- Identify and develop systems to support effective and efficient use of SCH MOC Program resources; ensure projects are prioritized to meet targets and deadlines; ensure established deadlines are met for development and implementation of materials and systems
- Provide guidance to physicians in understanding MOC requirements and resources.
Partner with Department and Program Director on financial and human resouce management.
- Participate in the development and manage of MOCs annual budget
- Provide daily support and leadership to MOC staff
- Actively participate in the professional development of MOC staff
- Highly engaged in assessing the team and its member performance including annual evaluations and continuous monitoring of staff
Required Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree in business health care or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three (3) years experience in a lead role overseeing program/project management.
Three (3) years experience working on quality and process improvement projects with cross-functional teams; including data collection analysis and reporting.
Proven record of project completion program planning execution and status reporting.
Experience leading committees activities and staff.

- Experience leading teams with physicians to engage in quality improvement activities
- Experience managing and aligning quality improvement activities in a healthcare setting
- Formal training and experience in quality improvement leadership
- Formal training and experience in project management
Compensation Range
$97665.00 - $146497.00 per yearSalary Information
This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity skills experience and expertise and may vary within the range provided.
