The Registered Nurse assesses prescribes delegates coordinates and evaluates nursing care for assigned patients. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality care by applying the nursing process following established standards and adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
Note: Individual departments may require additional certifications or specialized responsibilities.
Develop and maintain the written Nursing Care Plan.
Act as a patient advocate promoting safety comfort and dignity.
Direct and supervise personnel assigned to assist in patient care.
Collaborate with and report to the Unit Nurse Manager or House Supervisor.
Required:
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
Ongoing continuing education aligned with skill level and practice area.
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Required:

Preferred:
Previous clinical experience.
Current RN license.
ACLS BLS PALS and TNCC required.
Additional specialty-specific certifications may be preferred.
Proficiency with medical equipment such as infusion pumps.
Ability to use computers printers copiers and patient charting systems.
Ability to provide care that supports each patients age-specific cultural physical and psychosocial needs.
