| Job Description: | The Department of Surgery at the University of Florida is recruiting a tenure or multi-mission track foregut/bariatric surgeon to join the Division of Gastrointestinal Surgery. Academic rank will be awarded based upon the career stage and development of the candidate. Surgeons in the Division of Gastrointestinal Surgery care for patients with benign and malignant conditions of the gastrointestinal tract from gastroesophageal junction to anus as well as abdominal wall hernias. The Division is comprised of the sections of Minimally Invasive Surgery (foregut and abdominal wall hernias) and Colon and Rectal Surgery. The Division is committed to excellence in patient care education clinical/translational research and academic service. UF/Shands Hospital is accredited as a Comprehensive Center with Adolescent Qualifications by the American College of Surgeons Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program. |
