Job description
Woodston Personnel are seeking a qualified and experienced Consultant in Histopathology to join the advanced diagnostic team of a leading healthcare institution in Saudi Arabia. The consultant will be responsible for delivering expert opinions in histopathological diagnosis performing complex case reviews and contributing to quality improvement in pathology services. The role also includes involvement in teaching research and multidisciplinary case discussions ensuring the delivery of high-standard evidence-based diagnostic services.
Duties and Responsbilities
The consultant will be responsible for -
Render accurate and timely diagnoses and issue clear and comprehensive pathology reports
Participate in intraoperative consultations (frozen sections) and fine-needle aspiration evaluations
Collaborate with clinical teams in multidisciplinary meetings (MDTs) for case discussions and clinical correlation
Contribute to quality assurance programs internal audits and laboratory accreditation processes
Supervise pathology technologists and junior medical staff providing guidance and mentorship
Support academic and research activities within the department including teaching of residents and fellows
Stay current with advancements in diagnostic techniques including digital pathology and molecular diagnostics
Adhere to hospital policies medical ethics and patient confidentiality standards
Skills and Computencies
High level of diagnostic accuracy and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to convey complex information clearly
Team-oriented with a commitment to clinical excellence and continuous improvement
Familiarity with modern laboratory information systems (LIS) and quality management systems
Full time contracts with excellent renumeration and benefits available

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
US Board/ FRCS - Irish UK Canadian New Zealand or Australian/ Diploma dEtudes Specialises (DES)/ CIS French Board/ Fachart & Sub- Board/ Fellowship / Board / Fellowship / Sweden / Belgium / Finland / Spain
Must have at least 3-5years of post-consultant or senior specialist experience
Eligible for consultant licensure with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
