Description


  • Oversee and manage construction phase
  • Oversee technical direction.
  • Monitor that the project is constructed in compliance with contract documents budget and schedule.
  • Establish project procedures problem-solving activities budget reviews and certifications needed.
  • Prepare agendas and conduct project related meetings
  • Review contractors construction schedule and monitor progress for adherence
  • Review contractor claims
  • Review and approve contractors pay applications
  • Interface with clients and contractors
  • Interface with project stakeholders
  • Maintain project tracking logs and documentation
  • Monitor safety programs onsite
  • Initiate document revisions project reviews and processes change orders.
  • Receive and distribute test reports.
  • Manage inspectors assigned to project
  • Prepare lists of items to complete or correct and establish close-out procedures
  • Perform post-construction services and investigations as needed.
Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in general civil facility mechanical electrical plumbing control and specialty fields of construction.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience managing other inspectors.
  • Professional Engineer License preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Word Excel and Project.
  • Prior experience with large capital improvement public works projects involving coordination between multi-disciplined contractors.
  • 10 hour OSHA safety course; 40 hour Supervisor course preferred.
  • First aid & CPR training preferred.
  • ICBO or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Prior supervisory/ lead inspector experience.
