Software Engineer–Developer (Mid-LevelExperienced)

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Software EngineerDeveloper to support our Engineering Analytics team located in Seal Beach California. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) National Systems Programs (NSP) software capability.

The ideal candidate will develop and maintain data analysis tools and environments. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to continuously improve software solutions ensure engineering excellence and achieve program objectives.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level and Experienced Level Software Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop test and maintain software applications that meet industry customer safety and regulation standards.

• Review analyze and translate customer requirements into initial design of software products.

• Develop maintain enhance and optimize software products and functionalities for systems integrations.

• Develop document and maintain architectures requirements algorithms interfaces and designs for software products.

• Participate in the agile software development lifecycle including planning reviews and supporting customer meetings.

• Analyze characterize debug and resolve performance related issues to ensure reliability and efficiency of software products.

• Handle user inquiries troubleshoot technical issues and analyze user feedback.

• Implement current and emerging technologies tools frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software development.

• Develop establish monitor and improve software processes tools and key performance metrics that align with organization goals and industry benchmarks.

• Execute and document software research and development projects.

• Advise on software domains system-specific issues processes and regulations.

• Perform software project management activities and software supplier management functions.

• Track and evaluate software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process compliance to project plans and industry standards.

• Perform cost benefit analysis to help guide technical solutions

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• 1 years of experience in Python scripting

• 1 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with software development using agile principles and a structured development process

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science.

• Level 2: 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Level 3: 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Active TS/SCI w/adjudicated polygraph

• Experience with Java and Javascript/React

• Experience with Kubernetes

• Experience with databases Linux and mTLS
