Job Summary

  • To plan daily inspection activities and surveillances.
  • To STOP the work in the event of identifying any activity where serious breach of Health Safety or Environmental standard is witnessed.
  • To conduct audits to verify that plans & procedures are being followed and documentary evidence is produced and maintained (Desirable non-essential)
  • To coordinate with the KAFD construction staff. Plan in advance any necessary inspections and testing activities.
  • Maintain surveillance of Contractors QC Inspectors collaborate with KAFD Inspectors.
  • Site visits for visual verification of procedure adherence feedback from progress meetings and individual reporting of concerns from general workforce Supervisors and Management.
  • Ensure As-Built Quality Records are produced in respect to the ITPs.
  • Surveillance of ITP content and the required compilation of records referenced within in respect to materials specifications tolerances standards there certification to compliance their traceability and their use in the realization of the product.
  • Temperatures where applicable the timely taking of samples their handling curing storage and testing.
  • The existence of authorized for use ITPs at the workplace beforeduring the start of works activities.
  • Ensure site QA/QC compliance through on site surveillance or via QC Inspector reporting. Visual Feedback and written reporting.
  • Act decisively to curtail bad practice waste and non - value adding activities. Explaining likely derogatory effects of bad practice in a manner easily understandable to the individual or group involved in the issues.
  • Engage in supply chain QC compliance Onoff site as required or advised by the Project QAQC Manager.
  • Be prepared to attend at FATS & SATS dependent on the individual materials tests or services being under inspection test as required by the Project QAQC Manager.
  • Reporting weekly and as additionally required.
  • Capable of producing weekly monthly reports to high standard and detail as requested. Including supplying information as requested by the QMS Engineer for a dashboard of QAQC KPis.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in engineering with experience gained within heavy infrastructure electrical engineering and rail & metro projects.
  • Experience in auditing (Minimum Internal ISO 9001 Internal Auditor)
  • Knowledge of QAQC principles tools & techniques ideally a quality qualification or membership of a professional quality body.
  • A minimum of 8 years experience in quality assurance and quality control on system engineering and rail projects
  • Excellent English language verbal reading and writing skills
