Deine Position

At 1KOMMA5 we connect and manage distributed energy devices at scale. As a Working Student Lab Engineer youll help maintain and optimise our lab environment where we test and integrate solar battery heat pump and EV charging solutions. Working closely with experienced engineers youll gain hands-on experience with hardware testing system simulations and real-time data analysis.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist in the design assembly and maintenance of test benches for various lab experiments and product evaluations.
• Conduct hands-on testing using existing test benches ensuring accurate data collection and proper operation of equipment.
• Document test results preparing clear and concise reports to support research and development processes.

Dein Profil

The successful candidate will have:

• You are enrolled in a university and can commit 20 hours per week.
• You are studying a relevant degree program (e.g. Electrical / Embedded / Automation Engineering or Computer Science).
• Hands-on experience in assembling electrical boards and building circuits with a strong technical understanding.
• Basic skills in IoT embedded systems or industrial automation (e.g. microcontroller programming and common industrial communication protocols: Modbus TCP MQTT).
• Basic knowledge of hardware and software testing processes and equipment.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive problem-solving attitude and the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Bonus points for:

• Experience in developing and programming embedded systems using Python
• Experience with renewable energy systems or power electronics.
• Basic knowledge of energy systems like solar batteries or EV charging.
• Familiarity with lab testing tools and environments.
