Seeking an experienced Cyber Insurance Claims Subject Matter Expert (SME) to guide our product and engineering teams during the design and pilot phases. This is a strategic short-term engagement ideal for a senior claims professional with deep understanding of how cyber claims are handled and how carriers brokers and law firms interact during incidents.
Role Overview
You will serve as the claims and coverage domain authority for the project team translating real-world workflows into product requirements and validating system logic before market launch.
Key Responsibilities
Define and document cyber claims workflows including intake coverage validation defense counsel coordination and payment approvals.
Advise on coverage tower logic limit and sublimit tracking and spend allocation for multi-layer programs.
Review and refine data models for claims policies and invoices (e.g. LEDES mapping to coverage).
Validate user journeys for claims handlers adjusters and counsel within the prototype UI.
Participate in working sessions with MDIs Product Owner Technical Architect and UX team to ensure functional accuracy.
Provide feedback on pilot design and operational readiness for early carrier or broker customers.
Ideal Background
10 years of experience in cyber insurance claims E&O/D&O or professional liability.
Prior experience at a carrier MGA TPA or law firm handling cyber or complex commercial claims.
Familiarity with claims and policy systems.
Understanding of e-billing and LEDES workflows.
